About Us

Dr. Brian Mark

Dr. Brian Mark received his B.A. from George Washington University, his M.A. from UC Berkeley, and his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. After his Ph.D. he taught English at the university level for several years. He then entered the financial services industry and became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), working with families to chart paths to financially rewarding retirements. With the rising costs of colleges he saw too many families having to choose between their retirements and being able to send their children to their colleges of choice. After searching out strategies he earned the Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) designation, and for several years has been advising families on how to cash-flow the burdensome costs of college.

The initial consultation with Dr. Brian Mark is free. Together you and he will determine how he can best help you navigate the complexities of finding and paying for the right college.

Out staff and team will make recommendations for applying to those colleges that fit your student’s needs and interests most closely. We make recommendations for both private and public colleges and universities and offer aid in SAT preparation, editing college application essays, helping you prepare resumes for college, and more. We work one on one with families, tailoring answers for how to pay for each family’s unique need. We have helped hundreds of families find good solutions to their college planning needs.

Madeline Mark

Madeline Mark earned her B.A. degree from UC Berkeley and her Masters from Columbia University. She has counseled families and teenagers in her private practice for over twenty years. She specializes in helping college-bound youths focus on success in their school and personal lives. Emphasis is placed on developing attitudes that support the goals they set and accomplish for themselves, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Wei-Li Sun

Wei-Li Sun, a Mandarin speaker, is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley and a former Ph.D. student at UCLA. She is the leading college admissions consultant for students interested in highly selective California public universities. Over the past several years Ms. Sun has counseled numerous California high school and community college students interested in attending California public universities such as U.C. Berkeley and UCLA. She offers clear answers to students facing the challenges and uncertainties of the college admission process. When she is not answering student questions, Ms. Sun volunteers with UC Berkeley and UCLA in support of their high school outreach efforts. She also volunteers with the alumni associations from both campuses to score Alumni Scholarship applications.
